This is not just a museum but a spectacular visit ; The Maison du Pays de Salm offers you the possibility to discover the area of the Salmvalley, its history, and geology, its old industries, its art and the traditions, its folklore and its legends. With a portable CD you visit this new museum, situated near the railway station, not far from the centre, next to the tourist office. The visit is possible in French, Dutch or German.

Open : first visit at 6 pm, last visit at 4.30 pm.

Closed on the 25th December and on the 1st January

Price : adult 5,50 € - Child 4,25 € - Groups ( min 15 pers. ) 4,75 €.

Guided visits are also possible for groups in French or in Dutch.

Musée du Coticule

(Sharp stone) in Salmchâteau

This museum includes :

- a room with regional geology

- a room which shows you the economic, historic and social aspects of the Coticule's running in the area

- a restored workshop

Opening periods and opening hours

From the1st of April till the 30th of October; from Tuesday till Saturday; from 10 am till 12 am and from 1 pm till 5 pm.

Every Sunday and during public holidays from 2pm till 5.30 pm. Closed on Mondays

For groups on reservation from the 1st of November till the 30th of march
