Every year on the 20th of July, the whiches of Vielsalm, "Les Macralles", come together at night to celebrate the "Sabbat" . First they steel the key of the city. The entrance of Belébuth with his wicked wiches, starts the sabbat.
You can see the sabbat on the hill of the place called "Tiennemesse", at two feet of the campsite of Vielsalm, not far from the church. It is outside.
The anecdotes of last year are told in the local dialect.
During this cerymonie, they have to say a traditionel formula, sitting on a broom : "Sôte Mirôte out hayes et bouhons" : jump Mirôte over the hedges and bushes.
Mirôte could be the name of a cat. It could also be an illusion to the prince Mérode, who was accused of whichcraft and crusified.
These personalyties receive the title of "baron des frambâches " (blueberries ) .
