This museum includes :
- a room with regional geology
- a room which shows you the economic, historic and social aspects of the Coticule's running in the area
- a restored workshop
Opening periods and opening hours
From the1st of April till the 30th of October; from Tuesday till Saturday; from 10 am till 12 am and from 1 pm till 5 pm.
Every Sunday and during public holidays from 2pm till 5.30 pm. Closed on Mondays
For groups on reservation from the 1st of November till the 30th of march

Musée de l'histoire et de la vie salmiennes

This is a house that dates from the end of XVIII century situated in the oldest area of the town.
You can discover a lot of collections:
- Old costumes; the hunting in Vielsalm since 1853; old aspects of the area of Vielsalm, the traditional house from the Ardennes.

And all year for groups on reservation

Archéoscope du Pays de Salm

Av. de la Salm, 50 à Vielsalm.
This is not just a museum but a spectacular visit ; The Archeoscope offers you the possibility to discover the area of the Salmvalley, its history, and geology, its old industries, its art and the traditions, its folklore and its legends. With a portable CD you visit this new museum, situated near the railway station, not far from the centre, next to the tourist office. The visit is possible in French, Dutch or German.
Open : every day from 10 am until 6 pm ( last visit at 4.55 pm)
Closed on the 25th December and on the 1st January
Price : adult 5,50 � - Child 4,25 � - Groups ( min 15 pers. ) 4,75 �.
Guided visits are also possible for groups in French or in Dutch.
